Electrician - Charlotte Area

Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment and fixtures at varying levels of complexity based on experience level per National Electric Code (NEC) state/local regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience with a vocational and/or electrical background.

  • Understand and perform mathematical functions.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

  • Valid Social Security number.

  • Must be able to pass background and drug test(s) as required by company and customers.

  • Written, Verbal, interpersonal, and telephone communications skills is a must.

  • Great attitude and ability to communicate intelligently when working with both customers and internal parties.

Job Requirements

  • Some travel required.

  • Self-motivated problem solver that has the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment and potentially train new workers.  

  • Able to meet with inspectors, contractors, and owner representatives while maintaining a professional image.

  • Knowledge of Nation Electric Code and able to comply with state/local building codes when installing electrical systems.

  • Identify and enforce client/owner procedures and site regulations.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules, operating regulations and practices, and report unsafe conditions or acts. 

  • Can install new electrical equipment and replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical components, and wire. 

  • Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and make recommendations for improvement/repair. 

  • Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes including Uninterrupted Power Supplies, Power Distribution Units, DC Power Wiring, and AC Power Wiring. 

  • Knowledge of running Hydraulic or Table Bender. 

  • Capable of laying out and installing conduit systems.
